Special Quilt to Benefit Buffalo Philharmonic

Thirty years ago Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra musicians displayed their artistry in a realm beyond music. They took up needle and thread, fabric and imagination, to piece together a quilt that's a mini-history of the orchestra. Now Buffalonians will be given a chance to bid on this quilt at a silent auction during the Sept. 16 Gala Opening Night when violinist Sarah Chang appears with the BPO for the first time. Full Story.

"Lost Quilt" Rediscovered after 50 Years at South Dakota Church

About three years ago, church members of Christ Church in Lead, SD were working together to clean out stored items that could reasonably be discarded. In one of the drawers they opened they discovered a box that had evidently been placed in the drawer more than 50 years ago and forgotten. So began what the church women term the "Tale and the Trail of a Lost Quilt." See full story.
