Quilt memorializing 9/11 on display in Amherst, Ohio
When Lois Jarvis sat down to start making the Ground Zero Quilt, she had no idea why she was doing it.
Jarvis, a quilt maker in Madison, Wis., has been making quilts for 30 years. After the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, she felt compelled to make a quilt even though she didn't know any of the victims.
The quilt is on display at the Amherst Public Library, 221 Spring St., through Dec. 20. The display is free to the public and available for viewing during regular library hours.
